Primary Colors...

Today I'm Lovin:  This preppy North Carolina couple and their engagement session at Elon College. I love their classic staple wardrobe choices with BIG pops of color.  Crayola would be proud!

Let It Burn...

Hope everyone had a full and happy Turkey Day!  I proceeded to stuff my face without a hint of guilt for the wedding dress consequences.

Back in April, I began working with a trainer twice a week in order to avoid last minute scrambling.  I like to eat, so starving myself weeks before the wedding sounds like my own version of hell.  Plus, doing so, would win me a one-way ticket to the show Bridezillas (which if you have never had the pleasure of watching, please do, it's horrifically comical).  So I went for the "marathon" diet option rather than the "sprint".

Despite all the hours logged at the gym, I haven't really changed my eating habits. But, that stops here. I've now summoned my inner drill sergeant and it's time for a crack down.  We're 6 months out - no more fast food and no more sweets for yours truly.  It's time to let it burn, the calories that is...

Even the fiance has hopped on board the wedding diet wagon.  He has pledged to walk 500 miles (yes, like the song) before the wedding.  He's got a spreadsheet and everything.  It's very serious business.

Today I'm Lovin: My newly created wedding workout playlist from MixPod.  It's time to get physical!

Wrinkle Me This...

Yay!  If you're reading this then you have successfully navigated to the new site. Instead of smearing on the war paint, I waved the white flag and surrendered.  Same blogger, same content, new name...

So let's get right back to it,shall we?

I absolutely loathe ironing. Washing clothes = fine.  Folding clothes = fine.  Ironing clothes = not fine.  I'd rather run 5 miles.  But, when you mix it with pretty flowers, a vintage apron and some pretty spools of thread, it doesn't seem all that bad.  Wrinkle me this...

The District...

I know I've mentioned it before, but Washington DC holds a very special place in our hearts.  To be 100% cliche, it's where we met and fell in love.  First date, first kiss, blah, blah, blah.

Anyhoo, so I get very giddy when I see a wedding with our nation's capital as the backdrop.  It's a pretty backdrop indeed, especially in our old stomping grounds - the historic district of Georgetown.  It's one of those neighborhoods that will always be fabulous.  When your repertoire of residents includes Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, & Katharine Graham, you know you are legit.

Today I'm Lovin: Allow me to reminisce over this beautiful DC summer wedding.  And now I'm craving cupcakes at 11 AM.  Neat.
