Happy Monday everyone! I am currently moving at the pace of a snail. Good thing today's post lets me slowly stroll down memory lane. Now that the submissions have all been published, I get to inundate you with even more pictures of yours truly on our wedding day. If you're not sick of me yet, you most definitely will be in the coming weeks. I'll be sharing behind the scenes looks of different moments from that lovely day in May.
First up, the primping photos! We began at Payton Place Salon with hair, makeup and mimosas. We had the entire salon to ourselves and filled it with lots of cheers and giggles. All my girls rocked one of my gifts to them, a monogrammed over-sized button down (a running joke and my favorite sleepwear of choice). I also gave them name totes from The Wedding Chicks to store all their wedding day gear.

This was the perfect way to kick off the day and it really put me at ease. Be sure to block off plenty of time and enough stylists for primping so that you're not rushed. (I. Hate. Being. Rushed.) You want to ensure you can sit back, relax and just enjoy being pampered.

How wonderful! Looks like you had so much fun with your girls. Love the shirts.
ReplyDeleteSeriously...this is one of the funnest parts of a wedding, in my opinion! You all look gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch amazing photos! You girls all look so happy and excited :) Cannot wait to see the rest. These kinds of posts are my faves xo
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!! Bet the girls loved their gifts! :)
ReplyDeleteThe shirts and the bags were great gifts!
ReplyDeleteLooooove these fun pictures! And the shirts are too cute. Oversized button downs are my favorite, too!
ReplyDeleteButton down shirts are classy, sexy and practical! Nice touch!
ReplyDeleteLove the shirts - where did you get them?
ReplyDeleteI love the shirts too - and am also interested in where they were purchased. What about the totes?
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the shirts?? I want to order ones just like those for my bridesmaids!!
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! The shirts are actually from JcPenney. They are men's Stafford brand shirts that I bought in small sizes and had monogrammed. The totes are from the Wedding Chicks shop. Happy planning!
ReplyDeleteGallegly - I love that I randomly came across this on pinterest today. It took me back to a great day :) XOXO
ReplyDeleteI am going to keep this idea in mind. I love the monogrammed shirts. Really... I would have loved one of these for the weddings I have been in.
ReplyDeletelauren.. my girls are sizes 6-12. would larges work for them?
ReplyDelete@jjjwc86 The shirts are actually from the men's section so the sizes aren't S-L. You should be totally fine for all sizes!
ReplyDeleteLauren, did you get the shirts monogrammed through JCP as well? I LOVE this idea!
ReplyDeleteI did not get the shirts monogrammed at JcPenny. I got them done at a small shop here in Arkansas. It costs about $5 per shirt.
ReplyDeleteI am doing this for my girls!! My wedding is in 2 months and already talked to the lady about monogramming them. My girls also range in those sizes, I was going to get size 17 shirts for all of them, would that be too big? Did you get the same size for them all? Also do you know what font you used for your shirts? I am so happy I came across this from Pinterest, I was going to do hoodies but this is so much better and creative!!!! Thank you for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteHi! I love this idea and was wondering if the monogram on the pocket is sewed all the way through the pocket or if you are still able to use the pocket? I am hoping to have these done for my bridesmaids but the lady who is doing the monograming said she could only do it where the pocket is sewed together with the shirt. I would appreciate if you can give me any tips! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI do monogramming on shirts in Ohio, give me an e-mail vicki@elitedesignsembroidery.com for pricing. I also do the cutest totes and bags (also monogrammable) but my website shows only a few, a new site is being developed www.elitedesignsembroidery.com Good to know embroidery is still loved and going strong. Have a great wedding!
ReplyDeleteHi there.....Might be a dumb question, but are the mongrams in the initials of each bridesmaid? Or of the couple getting married?
