Friday Afternoon Giggles...

The weekend needs no introduction.

Florida Manors...

Bring it on Friday! I'm very ready for what you have in store. I'll send you off with this Florida beaut from Kay Meyer Photography. Jessica & Kevin's wedding took place at the Southwood House in Tallahassee.  It's a charming little manor (with guest cottages too) nestled on a golf course in the capital city.  Accompanied by their pup, they said their vows in the mason jar lined lawn.  The bridesmaids wore bright blue dresses which tied in nicely with the pink and green blooms. All in all, it was quite fun to show off these genteel Florida "manors"! Wink.

Steal This...

Doh!  I totally forgot to share my story about how I asked my bridesmaids to be in our wedding party.  I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.  I actually believe I asked them pre-Southern Aisle so taking pictures for documentation didn't really cross my mind. Thank goodness for Katie Day!

So here goes - I wanted to do something unique and try to surprise them.  Since my birthday is on Valentine's Day, I am kind of notorious for sending my friends valentines of some sort.  I followed my usual February tradition so they wouldn't be super suspicious about their arriving mail.  Only this time it wasn't a valentine.  I picked up a batch of pretty satin hangers (from Bed Bath & Beyond) and attached a little note to each one.  It read "For your bridesmaid dress..."  I wrapped each one up all pretty and mailed them off and waited for the shriek-y phone calls to roll in.
Their dresses - hangers and all - on wedding day.  The satin hangers looked so much better than plastic or wire ones.  Go ahead - steal this!  I give you my permission.

Summer Brew...

Happy hump day! We're taking a little trip down to Georgia today, courtesy of Peachtree Photography. Jesse and Paul were married back in June at the 5 Seasons Brewing Company in Atlanta.  5 Seasons is a local produce focused restaurant and brewery that makes for such a unique wedding space.  You'll even spy a few aged barrels in their wedding decor that were actually used to brew the beers served on tap. I can't help but love an unending supply of cold brewskis - perfect for an outdoor summer wedding in Hotlanta.

Suit Up...

While our belated honeymoon destination is still to be determined, I can't help but browse for cute suits. I never actually thought I would enjoy swimsuit shopping but there's some ridiculously cute options out there right now. And, since we're nearing the end of the dog days of summer, most are offered at sale prices.  Double bonus!  Time to suit up!
