I've been on a pink + metallic shoe high lately. I can't say that's a bad thing...

Rustic Elegance Bomb - Part Two
Yesterday set the bar pretty high. But, somehow the second half of this Texas shoot managed to exceed my wildest expectations. Part one was more rustic while part two is more elegant. There's a blow your socks off pink dress, bowls of cotton, and lots of soft and demure details. I can hear the Southern brides inspiration wheels a turning. I must tip my hat once again to Sarah e. Evans Photography and Tamara Menges Designs for their absolutely stunning work. Now I'm off to play with my early birthday present. Enjoy!

Rustic Elegance Bomb - Part One
Happy Monday everyone! The husband and I had a nice, relaxing weekend despite two simultaneous basketball losses. Saturday afternoon was a little rough but other than that it was tres enjoyable. But now it's back to business as usual.
So I typically don't split up posts into multiple parts: a) I think it's kind of a tease. I am definitely a fan of instant gratification AND
b) I'm a firm believer that the blog post whole is greater than the sum of its parts. However, on this rare occasion I'm throwing a) & b) out the window. There is just too much fabulousness in this Texas styled shoot for one post. Sarah e. Evans Photography teamed up with Tamara Menges Designs to create this rustic elegance bomb. Set in the big red barn at Bauer Ranch, they utilized baby's breath, burlap, and a touch a plaid. Okay time for me to stop talking and you to start scrolling. Ready, go!
Huge thank you to Sarah e. Evans Photography for sending this over via Two Bright Lights.

Friday Afternoon Giggles
My current stream of thoughts: weekend, weekend, weekend, giggles, weekend. Go forth and enjoy!
Garden State
Happy "this is the prettiest shoot ever" Friday! Because, ya'll, this is the prettiest shoot ever. Set in a gorgeous location in Hazard, Kentucky, there's quite a spring fling waiting for you. I formally invite you to attend a charming garden wedding party...with your eyes. We can thank Chris Cornwell Photography for the stunning images of this fiery red haired bride and Davida Patrick for the incredible styled inspiration. The pastels, the antiques and the full hydrangea bouquets have sped up my longing for warmer weather. It's a great way to wrap up this busy week! I'm now in a garden state of mind.
Send your praises over to Chris Cornwell Photography and say thanks for submitting via Two Bright Lights.

Nailed It
I could tell you that I didn't post yesterday because I spent all evening watching our Commander in Chief lay out his plans for this great country of ours. But that would be a lie. (I could only stand about 20 minutes of the State of the Union.) Instead I was holed up in our bedroom ferociously reading about a female tribute and her fight to stay alive. Yes, you readers got shafted by the tween novel, The Hunger Games. I can't help that Katniss and her fierceness have reeled me in. It's mucho addictingo!
So in a land very far from the twisted games in Panem, there's a sweet couple who got hitched in North Carolina. In a small town called Yadkinville, Holly and Arthur celebrated with a vintage wedding at Hanover Park Vineyards. Their talented photographer, Brett Arthur Weddings summed it up nicely "We believe it's nearly every brides dream to have a wedding that represents her and her soon-to-be marriage's personality. Often though, budgets, time, resources, know-how, etc. get in the way of her creating that dream come true wedding. Well, Holly nailed it with her dream." This blogger concurs!
Yay for Brett Arthur Weddings and Two Bright Lights.

Cake Talks
While cakes look and taste hella delicious, they may also serve a purpose.
Use this pretty tower to share song lyrics, a Bible verse or a simple sweet message. Cake talks my friends!

Everything's Bigger in Texas
They say everything's bigger in Texas. You can definitely tell that the love displayed and the attention to detail by this sweet couple was large and in charge. Leigh and Doug tied the knot in September at the Texas Women's University. Beautifully photographed by Alexander of LongBrook Photography, it was a day full of elegant touches with a vintage twist. From their first look moment and gift exchange, to the all white bridesmaids dresses, this wedding is sure to make a B-I-G impact.
A big thank you to LongBrook Photography for the submission via Two Bright Lights.
